Isehan Kiss Me Heroine Make Long & Curl Mascara

Hi Everyone!  Thank you for stopping by to read my blog.  Today, I'm going to review a highly rated mascara in Japan, Isehan/Kiss Me Heroine Make Long & Curl Mascara.  

First I just wanna say that I LOVE wearing mascara.  It's one of those product that's a must-have to open up super small eyes like mine.  That's why I'm always on the lookout for a new mascara that's waterproof, smudge-proof, and give awesome volume and length without clumping.  Since I'm trying out this mascara, you can tell that I haven't found my HG mascara yet.  I was really hyped up about testing this product out because of all the rave it's been getting, and Isehan Herione Make Volume & Curl Mascara is one of the company's best selling products. Unfortunately, the hunt goes on.

Claims:  Contains ultra fine fibers which gives you extra volume without clumping. It is a lightweight, long-lasting and curl-maintaining mascara which is waterproof and easy to apply. It also contains Chamomile Recutita Flower Extract and Camellia Japonica Seed Oil that won't dry out your eye lashes.

Isehan aka Kiss Me is a skin care and makeup brand manufactured in Japan. They are a widely distributed drugstore brand and have made a name for themselves with their affordable pricing, high quality, and beautiful packaging with dolly-like girls theme.  Giving a nostalgic feel of Japanese cartoon characters.  

Yes, the packaging for their Volume and Curl mascara is so adorable like all of their other products.  Just look at it.....So CUTE!  What I love about packaging for a lot of Asian cosmetics is that they tend to cater to the 10 years old in you.  Come on, no matter how old we are, there's always a kid inside us. 

The brush is sturdy and has a slight curve which makes it easy to glide through all your lashes. That's where the awesomeness stop.  Once I started coating my lashes, the brush kept going back in and out, in and out of the tube.;)  Not much product came out to coat my lashes.  The more I tried to build for more volume, the more my lashes started to clump together.  The picture below doesn't look so bad, but you can tell that my lashes clump together, and after lots of coating, it still isn't volumizing.  Another claim is that this mascara will hold up your curls.  For me, it did for a couple of hours, but after my 12 hours shift at work, my eyelashes were drooping.  Maybe 12 hours is long time, but I'm a wishful thinking kinda girl.

Would I buy it again?  Nope!  (I actually returned it already.)

I'll be the odd ball here and say this mascara sucks is not for me.  I know there are tons of fans who are gonna say, "Whaaaaaaaaaat?  You must be loca en la cabeza!"  To each his own.  This mascara isn't volumizing or kept my lashes curled.  The ultimate deal breaker is how my lashes clump together when I try to build up the volume.  I have not found a mascara that I can call my HG yet (Maybelline Falsies comes close) so I guess I'm a nasty critic when it comes to mascara.  Maybe this is a HG mascara, but I just got a bad tube.  Who knows...but I'm not going to find out since I'm never repurchasing this product again.

One last look at how freakin adorable the packaging is.  I wish I had loved what was inside as well.  Similar to a hot guy with no brain.  Bad comparison?

If you haven't test out this mascara, give it a try.  Like the mass majority, you might fall in love with it.  If you've tried it before, let me know if it works out for you.  I am still looking for my HG mascara so if you have one, do share.  I will be all over it.
